Weather

Our year round weather is enjoyable with an average day time temperature of 71 degrees. Summer days can get into the 90's and the humidity is high, but personally, I can't think of a better place to be than here. Sure, there is the threat of hurricanes, but this is the tropics. Besides, no matter where you go, there's always a threat of something, isn't there? California has earthquakes. The plain states have tornados. Guess we just can't have it all!

Beaches

One word describes our beaches...MAGNIFICENT! The sunsets are spectacular! And Dr. Beach just named Siesta Key's Public Beach the #2 beach in the U.S. You should come and see for yourself..

Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy activities like wind surfing in the bay, water skiing, parasailing, jet skiing, boating, fishing, kayaking, and of course, golfing.

Culture

Some people love the international flavor of Sarasota. A popular area for tourists to shop is St. Armand's Circle. We have the renowned Ringling Museum and places like Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Mote Marine Laboratory, G-Wiz, the Asolo Theatre and Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall for those who want to experience a more artistic form of entertainment.
